One Summer in Europe is dedicated to promoting a spirit of learning and adventure through travel - Europe being a wonderful place to develop that attitude and to simply experience inumerable joys of being alive as a curious, engaged citizen of the world.

We are also committed to encouraging people to get out and taste what it really means to be free - some time with no obligations to anything or anybody, a little money in your pocket, and complete freedom to do whatever one desires or go wherever the wind blows. There is, in our opinion, no better feeling nor more important experience in life than this.

When one tastes real freedom, a world of unlimited opportunities finally comes into clear focus, becoming a reality rather than an idea.

From a practical standpoint, OSiE wants to help visitors plan and enjoy their backpacking trips to Europe. This means:

1. Providing OSiE to people as a useful, one-stop resource where a person backpacking Europe can find and/or purchase practically anything he or she will need for the trip (before, during, and after the actual event).
2. Beyond basic planning and managing of a trip, helping people to capture for themselves and share with others the spirit and excitement of the adventure through interactive technology tools such as travel stories, blogs, etc.
3. Making OSiE into the absolute best backpacking Europe website through unique, visionary, and creative ideas to help people with their trip, tools that are only found at OSiE (i.e. EuropeTracker, free SMS, etc.)
